The
permanent collections of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco were
the basis for this thematic exhibition that traced the use of food
as a subject in art. The exhibition showcased art in all media, placing
it, wherever possible, into its historical context and exploring the
history, culture, and meaning behind it.
