A small but significant collection
of samplers and schoolgirls’ needlework books were exhibited
as the culmination of a collections inventory and remounting project.
Storage mounts were designed to be easily incorporated into window
mats for exhibition. Project books from early 20th century home economics
classes displayed alongside traditional early 19th century samplers
revealed remarkable similarities.
