Museum Services

Curatrix Group has consulted with museums in a variety of ways. Most of our projects have been textile and fashion-related but we have also worked in other media.

We have organized exhibitions, evaluated collections and recommended deaccessions, served as expert advisors on museum renovations, and provided management consulting for museums of all sizes.  We have been fortunate to work with several museums long-term but also have undertaken single projects for a number of institutions.

Collection Management for Non-Museums

We also offer collection management services for individuals and organizations that are not museums. Depending on the client’s needs, we might develop a formal numbering or accessioning system, advise on collection management software, catalogue and photograph a collection, and advise on acquisitions and deacquisitions.
